What can i bring?

What Can't I Bring?

PROHIBITED ITEMS:

  • Bad Attitudes (Positive vibes only!)

  • Firearms, explosives, and weapons of any kind (including pocket knives, pepper spray, fireworks, etc)

  • Colors/No Patches of Affiliation (Motorcycle Club, Gang, etc)

  • Backpacks and camelbaks that are not CLEAR or are greater than 17″h x 13″w x 8.5″d

  • Selfie sticks

  • Illegal substances (including drugs and drug paraphernalia)

  • Alcohol (alcohol will be sold at the Festival)

  • Glass containers

  • Outside food or beverages

  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards or personal motorized vehicles

  • Large chains or spiked jewelry

  • Wagons, coolers, tents or large umbrellas

  • Pets

  • Audio or video recording equipment

  • Drones or any other unmanned aircraft

  • Kites

  • Marker pens and spray paint

  • Professional still cameras or equipment (no detachable lenses, no tripods, big zooms, or commercial use rigs)

  • Unauthorized vending/soliciting materials (promotional stickers, flyers, commodities, etc)

  • Aerosol or compressed cans containers (including sunscreen)

  • Frisbees

  • Laser Pointers

  • Chairs/Hammocks/Other Lounging Equipment

  • Water Guns and Water Balloons

ALL BAGS AND PERSONS WILL BE SEARCHED. ANY PROHIBITED ITEM THAT IS SURRENDERED TO SECURITY AT SEARCH POINTS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. SOSMF RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE THE FINAL DECISION ON ALLOWED AND PROHIBITED ITEMS WITHOUT NOTICE.

CAN I STORE MY PERSONAL ITEMS WHILE AT THE FEST?

Yes, keep your personal belongings secure and your phone charged by using one of our on-site lockers. We provide safe, secure and easy storage with all-day access so you can come and go to your locker at any time. When you reserve a locker online you will receive an email 24 hours before the fest containing your locker location, locker number, and lock combination so you can simply find and use your locker with unlimited access.

Will there be medical personnel on site?

We will have medical staff on site for the entire duration of Sound of Summer. Upon arrival, please take note of the location of our clearly-marked medical tents should you need to stop by throughout the weekend. If you need medical assistance, contact the nearest security official, staff member, ambassador, or medical staff, or go to one of the on-site medical tents. If you’re not sure whether it’s an emergency or not, assume it is and get help immediately. All of our safety and medical staff are here to help you enjoy the festival and make it home safely – no judgements.

What about security?

Your health, safety and security are always our top priority. Sound of Summer’s Safety Management team will work closely with our local and regional law enforcement, along with public safety partners to raise our preparedness and ensure the event provides a safe, secure, and positive environment for all attendees, artists, and staff.

Should you need any assistance during your time with us, please proceed to the nearest medical tent or seek nearby uniformed event staff. All of our safety and medical staff are here to help you enjoy the festival and make it home safely – no judgements.

Will I Be Searched?

To ensure the safety of our SOSMF family, all vehicles, persons and property are subject to search at all times. Failure to consent to a search will result in denial of entry or ejection from the event.

Upon arrival, all patrons will undergo to a full airport style search, including bag searches and pat-downs. Please plan ahead for enhanced security screening by arriving early during peak hours and help do you part to to expedite the entry process by reviewing our prohibited items list, packing light, and leaving your bags at home to take advantage of our express no-bag lines. If you would like to be screened by security personnel of your same gender, please let security personnel know prior to the search process.

Can I leave the festival and come back?

SOSMF ticket holders are permitted 1 daily re-entry into the festival grounds. Please plan accordingly and be prepared to be searched upon re-renty.

What Forms of Identification are acceptable?

  • State Issued Driver’s License

  • Passport

  • Uniformed Services ID Card

  • Foreign Driver’s License

  • Expired Driver’s License + State-Issued Temporary [Paper] ID

Can I bring my kids?

Yes. In fact children 3 1/2 feet tall and shorter are admitted FREE if accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. There will be no children under the age of 14 allowed in without the supervision of an adult.

Can I bring my pets?

SOSMF has a strict no-pet policy, with exceptions only for service animals as specified by federal and state law. Due to large-scale service animal fraud and for the safety of our patrons, staff, and other service animals, all animals which do not meet the legal standards will not be allowed into the festival grounds. All service animals must be registered at the entrance gates. Please note, dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support are not considered service animals by the ADA and and will not be allowed into SOSMF. Can I bring my medications?

Yes, medications are allowed into the festival as long as they comply with the following:

No over-the-counter medication is permitted unless in unopened, factory-sealed packaging.

No vitamins or supplements of any kind are permitted.

Prescription Medication can only be brought into the festival ground with the following:

  • A valid photo id (See list of acceptable forms of identification)

  • Medication must be in original prescription bottle, in-date, legible, with name corresponding to photo ID

  • Only one type of medication per bottle (matching the description printed on bottle)

  • Any prescription controlled substances may only be brought in quantities reasonable for your time at the festival.

Will there be free water?

Yes, SOSMF will offer FREE water stations to keep you hydrated throughout the day. We encourage you to bring reusable water bottles or camelbaks, just be sure to have them empty upon entry. There will also be water and other non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase at the bar.

  • ALL VEHICLES, PERSONS, AND PROPERTY ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH AT ALL TIMES. FAILURE TO CONSENT TO SEARCH WILL RESULT IN DENIAL OF ENTRY OR EJECTION FROM EVENT

  • DRUG USE OR POSSESSION IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED

  • INTOXICATED PATRONS WILL BE REFUSED ENTRY / ASKED TO LEAVE

  • UNDERAGE DRINKING/DELIVERY TO MINORS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

  • NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON ANY FESTIVAL PROPERTY

  • ALL CAMELBAKS/ WATER BOTTLES MUST BE EMPTY UPON ENTRY

  • STROBE LIGHTS WILL BE IN USE

  • NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED ON PREMISE

  • NO UNAUTHORIZED VENDING/SOLICITATIONS

  • NO PROFESSIONAL CAMERAS OR VIDEO EQUIPMENT

  • NO CROWD SURFING, MOSHING, OR STAGE DIVING

  • NO RE-ENTRY WITHOUT WRISTBAND

  • GOOD VIBES ONLY – NO BAD ATTITUDES WILL BE TOLERATED!

SOSMF RESERVES THE RIGHT, WITHOUT REFUND OF ANY AMOUNT PAID, TO REFUSE ADMISSION TO, OR EJECT ANY PERSONS, INCLUDING THOSE WHOSE CONDUCT IS DEEMED DISORDERLY, DISRUPTIVE, ABUSIVE OR WHO OTHERWISE FAILS TO COMPLY WITH RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS OF UNIFORMED EVENT STAFF.

What about people with disabilities?

Sound of Summer is a fully accessible event, and we are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure you have access to all the festival amenities. We welcome and encourage all feedback and suggestions from our patrons. The following explains the services provided this year. For any accessibility-related questions please email us at ada@sosmusicfest.com. We will do our best to help you have an awesome experience.

ACCESSIBILITY CENTER

All accessibility-related inquires can be answered at our ADA Center. This location is also the place to recharge wheelchair batteries and/or the other assistive technology requiring electrical recharging, as well as store medical equipment, get a drink of water, or just get some relief from the sun.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY

The venue is navigable for people with mobility disabilities. There are accessible pathways throughout the venue. Our ADA team can provide assistance if needed. To request assistance, please visit the ADA Center, or just grab a festival staff member closest to you to call our ADA team. We encourage all guests with mobility disabilities to utilize personal forms of transportation, including wheelchairs and scooters. If you need to recharge your motorized wheelchair, you may do so at the ADA Center. Patrons should bring all cords and accessories needed to charge their devices. Chargers must use a 110-volt, 20 amp circuit.

SERVICE ANIMALS

Service animals are permitted throughout the festival grounds; however this does not include emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals. Pets are not allowed and will be turned away. Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their owners will be provided with the appropriate credentials.

  • All service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.

  • Service animals must be housebroken and should use the service animal relief area.

  • Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal.

  • All animals should have legally required vaccinations

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION REQUESTS

If you would like to request ASL Interpretation for any performance please contact us. Keep in mind, requests must be made no later than 21 days before the event to allow for sufficient processing time. Requests for Closed Captioning, Braille/Large Font Print, Guided Tours and/or other forms of Effective Communication, please contact us.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

  • ATMs & Concessions: All ATMs and concessions are fully accessible and located throughout the venue. If assistance is required, please confer with a festival staff member.

  • First Aid: We have one main First Aid location in the main grounds, two First Aid location by each stage, and roaming EMT first aid on carts. Professional medical staff can help you with your medical needs at these locations. There will also be on-site ambulances if needed. There will be signage posted, and festival guides provided with a map showing the locations of First Aid and other amenities.

  • Special Dietary Needs: Sound of Summer will have food vendors that provide gluten-free dietary options. For those with special dietary needs beyond the festival food service, please contact us at ada@sosmusicfest.com for further information.

COMMENTS, QUESTIONS & SUGGESTIONS

Sound of Summer will consider any request by a guest with disability for reasonable modification of its policies, practices or procedures or for auxiliary aids and services that will permit the guest equal enjoyment of the goods and services offered at the Festival. We encourage you to make any such request as far in advance as possible to enhance our ability to evaluate and fulfill the request.
